Remotely removing cliffs
Is there any way to remove cliffs without needing to walk up next to them with a cliff explosive? I am finding it very difficult to build things remotely with blueprints/builder robots now because cliffs keep getting the way and I have to manually go to remove them.

Currently, i don't think there is a way to remove them remotely. There may be a mod for it or the devs are adding it in a future update.

Perhaps it's a 0.15 or previous map that he/she loaded in 0.16 to continue playing. In being 0.16 now, newly discovered (previously black fog or war outside radar coverage) chunks will generate cliffs as part of the terrain.

Yeah, it is an older map that I have been playing on for a while now. I think I will disable them in future.

That seems unlikely given that water presents the exact same challenge (you can't remotely place landfills) - in fact, the ability to place remote landfills was considered a bug and removed in 0.13.7

The point is that it doesn't matter what you think - what matters is what the developers think. History suggests that they don't think that remote removal of environmental barriers (first water, now cliffs) is very important.

Then explain why we can in map (satellite/god) mode in vanillla? :D

I know it’s just ghosting unless you have conbots and robo network in that same area, but still.
