But no amount of modding will make MC and Factorio the same type of game.
Did you even read MY post?
FYI I've owned, played and modded MC since before the Infdev days.
Edit: Typo fixed.
I've run a heavily modded, private MC server for friends/family since multiplayer was introduced.
They don't compare. At all.
Both great games :)
I would still think you would not becouse it seams so or not played FTB/Gregtech , also you did not , you only linked me saying MC and you only said about MC , i dont read your mind
Just becouse its diffrent perspective dont means games cant be similar , especialy with mods
And please don't call me a liar.
Let's just agree to disagree.
Edit: My previous qoute:
"...
If you own minecraft , instal one of feed the beast packs...
it pretty much is this game more or less
..."
I remember Tekkit from way back when. I had Pneumatic tubes everywhere, an entire factory just to build timers, another factory just to build solar panels, a third factory to make UU matter in bulk, and the server OP hated buildcraft so much he was OK with me bypassing the protected areas with the darmkatter hammer in order to shut down this one guy's buildcraft setup. (the protection was accomplished via a different, server-side mod)
Right so much stuff in context , but anyhow
What game about factorio is:
-Building factories , mining recources on industrial scale , making complex production chains , mining lots of recoruces , automating as much as you can and ever expanding with buildings and power in factorio 2d world open sandbox game
What specific FTB pack i mentioned is about:
-Building factories , mining recources on industrial scale , making complex production chains , mining lots of recoruces , automating as much as you can and ever expanding with buildings and power , in minecraft 3d world open sandbox game
I played packs and own packs with gregtech over 800 hours , and factorio steamtime+200 hours presteam
And would pretty much say factorio is almost like "gregtech the game" , almost , similar enough , but very closely in gameplay mechanics , idea , and how some things work
Tho pace of game is much much faster in factorio as mining by hand is almost obsolete 5minutes in , while in gregtech industial mining comes quite late
Pretty much in one of older games 1.4.7 played on server of a friend , and most longest playing player was "lets call him fox guy as i forgot his name" had factory with greg/industrialcraft/other mods on server so big , it was comperable with factorio big factories i seen or ones i once or twice ever build
i played on many places and still not seen somone build anything as half impresive
I like both , reason i like greg and FTB there is progression to more advanced better and faster machines , same with power , eventualy you process items on industrial scale even bigger then factorio big factories
Tho greg mod is a bit hard to start , a quite hard early on
I use to think that till I played Fortresscraft. End game is a bit too much with non stop bugs etc.
Also there dont seem to to be any goals in Fortresscraft.
