Just ask your friends why they are reluctant to buy a game that's got an overall approval rating of 98% (it's the 5th most approved game on Steam).
If they don't want to buy it after playing that then it's probably not for them.
if you like game buy it , it wont be on sale anytime soon , 20bucks for 7th highest rated game of all time on steam , is a steal honestly
I know, I already own factorio :) I just seek a way to tempt my fellow RL-friends into buying it themselves. While I appreciate the fact that the devs put out a demo as few devs do, I really like to provide a glimpse at what makes factorio great as a coop-experience. Believe me, whenever I play somethin else with my friends (e.g. Anno 1404) I'd say, "well that's all nice and well, but the logistical intricacy is so much better in Factorio" or "the harbor-defense system is all nice and well, but imagine it being automated, like in Factorio."
In theory, yes. Practically:
Given that the licence is non-transferrable, you are not allowed to give a copy of your game files to a friend to play multiplayer with them. If they haven't paid for the product, they are not allowed to use it.
Would be nice if you changed the wording in the demo. I own the game and a friend thought they could play the demo level with me, with their demo installation (wanted to see if they're capable of playing with me or if the 30€ are for nothing if they aren't able to play with me). So the demo wording sounded to them like they could play the demo levels in multiplayer, without a full copy.
