Robot Army thread[forums.factorio.com]
What I'm thinking of is specifically a defensive robot that replaces the need for walls and turrets to defend the base. If an enemy enters the robotics network range, they emerge from roboports and swarm the enemies. They would require ammo and seek it out in the logistics network to load their weapons. Advanced robots might use lasers (and need lots of electricity).
I think the advanced robots should use uranium ammo. With the amount of power (or lack thereof) that logistics bots have, a robot with a laser would fire for a microsecond. This is just comparing it to how much power laser turrets use.
Sure somekind of that would be cool. But it requires lot of programming. And Factoriomakers do everthing they do nearly perfectly.
For me personall, i wish somekind of remote tank or a rts like tank armie. Im not content with the smallish looking tank. I wish somekind of badass thing whish is large and unstoppable.
