Depends on your GPU as you haven't told us what that is yet. Should be able to play perfectly fine in the early game (and when factorio starts to lag it does so by slowing everything down rather than dropping frames, typically).

where do i find out what my GPU is?

so the production speed slows down instead of less FPS?

Its called integrated graphics, sadly not everybody has the luxury to buy a GPU.

You should definitely be able to play this game, its not very graphically intensive and if you're somehow struggling there are plenty of settings to turn down to the point where you can even smoothly run it (early game at least) on a 1 core 15 year old CPU.
FPS does still go down, it just isn't as noticable because everything slows down.
Opening control panel and going to device manager should list Display Adapters, this will show what GPUs your system has.

Laptops can have both. And that screen doesn't show GPUs and never has.
Should be okay. Won't run the game if you try and use the best graphics. Turning off the particle effects on steam engines will help.

Hes using an acer laptop, i'd be surprised if it had a GPU since it wasnt stated on the image he sent either, but i can be mistaken that it shows on there. That, and if he has to ask if factorio can run he probably doesn't have high performance in many other games presumably due to not having a GPU.

my pc is really bad at running most games but this game looks like something a 15 year old pc can run:)

I used to be stuck with an acer laptop, an acer with a gpu is rare and expensive.
A high end 64bit 15 year old pc maybe. Factorio is CPU heavy rather than GPU heavy.

This is yours: 3900 Points in Benchmark

This my: 6500 Points in Benchmark
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-2500K+%40+3.30GHz&id=804

I did stresstest a bit. I can play till i have a production of 100-200k iron plates per minute, till my UPS drops from 60 to 50/s.

Thats what most player never reach. Also 0.16 will contain a performance update with factor 2 or so: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-209

I benchmarked a huge save of Vaclav (https://imgur.com/a/qDDs1), and it can already run 2.4 times faster in 0.16 compared to 0.15 so we met our "2 times faster release" quota, but I'm afraid that this won't stop the addiction.

Performance will take a hit in more graphic intensive times

i use toaster graphics (HD 3000) and factorio runs great. i suggest turning smoke off in graphics settings. rendering smoke seems to really hurt FPS. hopefully that will be fixed in the upcoming smoke optimization[www.factorio.com]

+1 for trying the demo.
