Max Nuclear Reactor Output?
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1139079689

I thought that a nuclear reactor's output was 40 mw. So a 6 pack with neighbor bonuses would be 560 mw. I'm pushing 207 turbines with a 6 reactor set-up and I still have over 750 degrees at the end of my heat pipes. Am I looking at this wrong and if so what is the max output for 6 reactors?

By the way 207 turbines should output about 1200 mw according to my "calculations" . I'm only using about 400 mw but my output is reading about 30 percent so that seems to be about right.

It's possible that, as your power demand rises and steam is consumed, your heat exchangers will start consuming the heat they are normally passing on to create steam. After a while, there won't be enough heat to allow heat exchangers at the end of your lines to maintain a level above 500, and shut down.

It's like plugging in 1000 boilers to one offshore pump. If you aren't using the steam/water because your demand is low, each boiler will appear to be capable of running at max capacity. But eventually only 40 of them will be able to operate when under max load.

That's what I was wondering. But I didn't have enough load to test it.

Thanks!

Beacon and radars are your answer.

2 Reactor = 160MW
4 Reactor = 480MW
6 = 800MW
8 = 1120MW

Every pair of reactors add 360MW

Like in my Blueprint Book, which is modular:

This are ideal Relations

very nice design! Thank You!

Here use :

( sorry bad english)

Output greater than 1gw .

Aha! The lightbulb finally lights! I thought that a 40 mw reactor with 300 percent bonus meant an output of 120 mw (300 % x 40 mw) but it actually means 40 mw + (300 % x 40 mw) or 160 mw.

I might be slow but I usually finish eventually.

Thanks so much!

Live long and prosper!

Yes, so if you place pair wise reactors the power output is: 160MW +(#of additional pairs)360MW

Just makedont make your heatpipe not too long or it will not reach the 500°.
Thats a problem for designs over 1GW
