Fluid handling (filling barrels) not working anymore

Hey,

I been playing on a map for a long time now and for some reason my fluid handling wont work anymore.

I've only the endless research left so everything is done there but I can only fill or empty barrels with either water or lubricant.

Any suggestion on what to do fix this? Can research be reset?

Maybe you are out of other oil products?

two things to check, are you putting oils in or out and where are the barrels? i had this happen then realized i had an overflow of barrels so had to set up a buffer on my barrel plant to only allow a certain number of barrels in the system at any point.

Thanks guys, first of all I have the fluid and empty barrels I just don't have the choice to fill or empty for example Crude oil. It's only water and lubricant.

@Kitsunerune; what do you mean by haveing an overflow of barrels? Did the choice in the Assembling machine disappear or did it just stop producing?

That's odd. You're saying that the actual recipe to fill crude oil barrels isn't showing up anymore?

Yes, that's what I'm telling you.

I can see the recipe for filling/empty water and lubricant and nothing more. Checking my research i also see that Fluid Handling is researched and I can see it effects on alot more than those two.

I also tried to start a older save of another map and I could the recipe was there. So something wrong with this save.

When the machines empty a barrel it leaves the empty barrel in the output slot of the assembler. Since at the time i had an assembler auto producing barrels eventually the output on one of my emptying plants got clogged with barrels. Was simple to fix, just had the inserter putting barrels into the network only work if the total empty barrels in the system was less then 100.
