My factories generally look about the same as yours. I usually try to push my outer walls far out of the pollution cloud though.

In one of my bases (on 0.14, not converted) I had a large biter base spawn on an island quite a ways away from my pollution. I set up some boilers there just to pollute the sucker and then set up some laser turrets JUST out of range so they could pick off the biters constantly. The laser towers were always shooting at the spawned biters.

The towers had dozens-of-thousands of kills each and millions of points in damage racked up last time I played that map.

Pollution is fun.

I often use the bio-industries mod, which comes with pollution-zapping farms.

Combining these with pollution-producing modules (bob's mods) makes them...OP'd, since they work by having a negative pollution value. (-1x25=-25)

I often end up taking the approach of switching to solar and putting mk1 efficiency modules in everything and end up with a rather faint cloud.

Well my first playthrough with friend has everything with efficiency modules. It's so green that the base built in the Forrest area has very small pollution.(very few attacks until biters spread near base)

New playrhrough. Speed beacon and productivity modules.

I kill all the fish in the lakes with flamethrowers, so my steam engines don't clog up. Does that answer the question?

Once I have walls and lasers pollution becomes irrelevant.

since i know that concrete reduce the amount of pollution sucked up per chunk, my hole base is getting concreted.

Ahaha, loving some of these answers, personally i didnt know concrete stopped polution, im going to have to stop putting that down now... think my polution blueprint got just a tid bit bigger, my reactor went from 4core to 8 core haha TIME TO EXPAND! oh and i added another 5 minefiel

There IS a fewer trees mod that can be tweaked to remove all trees.

But what I really want is a mod that makes your pollution actually destroy the trees and scorch the earth. Right now trees will eventually wither and die, but they stay in place. You still need to chop down the dead tree. I want them to crumble to dust! And I want the terrain to shift to desert! The aliens act like we're a threat to their very world, well, what if we ARE?

TBH i dont even need to kill the trees the polution is that much they are just dieing as i spread out, but most the time im running rampart with a flamethrower just to watch the world burn
