Can flame turrets shoot over walls? Will they hurt your own stuff?

They can shoot over walls, but if you have dragon's teeth, or other structure where biters run between, the flames will damage your buildings.

Flames do not damage walls, so DTs are excellent for use with flame turrets as they slow down the biters & make them clump up inside the flames.

Yes, flame turrets can shoot over walls. They also damage anything in the targeted area (fire can't be controlled once set free), even the player. However, walls and gates are impervious to fire damage.

So, just make sure the biters never get through the walls, and the fire will only damage what you want it to (but travel beyond the wall at your own risk).
