Some of the station names get funky.
They seem to be picked from a pool of possible names and randomly assigned.

I got "Chuckles the assembler" once.
Most threatening name so far.

Trains and radars and science labs and roboports all get names too.

Names for stations/labs/radars are randomly picked from a list. The list was created when the devs let people submit random ass names a few years ago. You can change the names of your stations by clicking on them.

It was a backers reward, the backers that payed for a name could add one that wasnt profane or other wise deemed offensive. So your fellow gamers picked them, and I have seen some weird ones.

The name list is in the Factorio/data/core/backers.json file. The list has 3,358 names in it.

You can modify it as you wish :) Just make sure to make a backup of your modified list, as Steam will likely overwrite it every now and then. Maybe it can also be made into a mod?
