Then you can move just 1 of that thing to your inventory with 1 right click and put the stack back where you found it.
If you really just need 1 but don't want to do all that, you can stick an inserter after the box to move stuff out of the box so you get 1 of that thing on the ground.
Then you can hold F and walk over to pick it up.
Unfortunately for this method, if the storage box is set to a restricted amount right from an assembler, you get the assembler making more while you're taking the few out you need. Thus if you take too long you end up with more than your chosen limit in storage.
If the box is restricted you can drop the rest back on one of the "restricted slots". OK the assembler et all will refill the slot that you emptied but the worst that that means is that you will have 1 extra stack in the box.
