Is it possible to roll back the update?
It has completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ large portions of my factory and I would like to undo this damage. Next time I start a new game I have no problem starting with this new stuff, but I want to be able to make my current game playable again without having to spend hours changing everything around. Anyone know if this is possible/ how to do this?

You should be able to! :D
Go to your library on Steam (where you open games on Steam if you don't have a shortcut on your desktop or whatever)
Right click on it, properties, then (I believe it's at the top) click on Betas, then choose which one you want :D
I'm not on my main computer right now so I don't have the game installed, but I believe that should work.

Nope, nothing there.

There in nothing in the beta section. It doesn't matter now anyway. My autosaves are now all post patch and my previous hard save is about 5 hours ago, so I have no choice but to spend hours redoing my base in either scenario. Ugh.

120 hours on this world and now they changed the power supplies and my factory is broken... was really enjoying it but now i dont really want to keep playing. the update looks goodf for when i want to start again but man, this sucks.

Any luck rolling back to the previous version yet?

Both 0.14.22 and 0.14.23 are listed in the Betas tab.

Also, changing steam power to the new version is pretty straightforward. 0.15 also adds nuclear power as well.

You can always manually switch your saves over to the standalone version of factorio, available from www.factorio.com

The process might take you about a half hour (since you need to link accounts etc), but IMO being able to precicely control if and when you update is worth the switchover, since Steam will sometimes shove an update down your throat.

Opting into beta let me choose 0.14.23, so I can finish my achievement that was an hour or two away. What an unpleasant surprise.

if you want to play 0.14.23 download the package version from factorio.com
the package (unlike the the install) version won't conflict with the steam version. you will have to move your saves to the saves folder.

If you have the game running in the background there won't be anything in the beta tab.

on your steam library right click factorio>properties>beta> and click 0.14.23

I'm mainly having struggles with the "new" steam energy and wondered about the same. Suddenly all of my power is gone because my power plants got messed up.

There is also a setup in the new players section.
