How do you download maps?

I found a map with a direct download link but I am having trouble finding the file that i move it to to play it. Any help is appreciated

Normally maps are shared is mapstrings. You should open up the file in a text editor then copy and passte it into the box marked "MapString" in the Create Game dialogue.

Download it and put the file into the Factorio saves folder hidden in the "AppData" directory.

Bei Windows musst du die Windows-Taste zeitgleich mir 'R' für 'run' (Ausführen) drücken, dann in das sich öffnende Fenster '%appdata%' eingeben.

Nun nur noch den Factorio Ordner suchen.
