How to load a turret

Hello-
I just built my first turrets, and I see an icon flashing which obviously means I need to load the turret, and I was wondering if some one could explain what to use for ammo, and how to load it into the turret. Thanks.

Click on the turret, then click a stack of ammo in your inventory and deposit it in the inventory of slot the turret.

You can use the same ammo you use for your submachine gun and pistol. You place it into the turret's inventory either manually or with an inserter.

how to load it into the turret

The cynical answer would be: The same way you load coal into burners, or iron ore into a furnace, etc

Manually: you load magazines the same way that you put items into any other container: click on the turrent, then either click a stack of magazines in your inventory to pick them up and click on the slot in the turret to load, or shift-click to load an entire slot (up to 100 magazines).

Automated: you can also load them from chests or belts with an inserter.
