god mode and sandbox

so the god mode essentially deletes your avatear, meaning you cannot interact with some mods at all (like factorissimo) is there any way i can freely test designs or mods without resource limits?

Start a normal freeplay game, and enable cheat mode. Bring up the console and enter:

/c game.player.cheat_mode=true

(The first console command you type needs to be entered a second time, as a precaution against accidental use).

In cheat mode, in-hand crafts require no resources and complete instantly. And you can craft items which need fluids as ingredients or which can't normally be crafted in-hand (e.g. engine units). Shift+click crafts an entire stack.

In addition to what GMC said there are a lot more cheats you can enable using the console (research all technologies, always daytime, switching between character and god controller, ...), see here: https://wiki.factorio.com/Console

If you want a full-fledged creative mode with power providers, belts/pipes that automatically spawn/destroy items, many other useful cheats you can enable/disable using a GUI then I recommend https://mods.factorio.com/mods/Mooncat/creative-mode.
