U-238
Is there a way to get more U-238 other than mining it, i keep running out, got 20k+ of U-235, havin fun using nukes as my main weapon, but can't power my reactors without U-238.

You can recycle your used fuel cells and get 3 back per cell and that's not too much so you really kind of have to mine it to get more.

you're going to have to mine more.

considering how much rarer 235 is than 238, i have to assume you're converting too much via kovarex or overproducing the uranium ammo or something? use circuit/network logic to control it, as nuclear was specifically implemented to be more dependant on ratios and logic to make it work well

the OP has 238U and 235U swapped. to get more 235U (the good stuff) save 40 of them, research Kovarex enrichment, then do that. recycle the 40 235U and you'll get 1 235U every 50 seconds.

If you are using "nukes as a main weapon" (30 U235 per shot) as OP stated then he obviously knowns about the kovarex process.

Stop enriching! The default processing method for uranium ore gives you about 10 times as much 238 as you need for fuel. In my experience, I get 200 U238 for every 1 U235. Others report smaller ratios, but unless it drops to a 20:1 ratio (which it isn't) you will never get close to running out of 238 if all you do is send it to nuclear fuel.

If you do not Kovarex enrich it, then you won't run out of U238. Simple as that.

Stop kovarex, or just greatly reduce it. Or feed 238 from chest with inserter set to stop when U-238 is under some level, so you always have some in storage.

I have my enrichers set to operate only if U238 > U235, so it keeps roughly 50/50 of each isotope in storage for use.

So set it 1:19 .... as you need 19 U238 to produce fuel.
