However, early game stuff is heavy on iron.
Also science is like 4x more expensive.
Whatca mean? it requires 1 copper and 2 pieces of iron to make a red science pack
all science packs combined cost same copper than iron it mean.
What a weird fact.
Thats good, because you can produce infinite science.
In early game me copper to Iron is like 1 :4
i have 60 iron steel furnaces working full time, my factory is still failing. trying to figure out if its a belt problem .-.
In either case, you'll need to constantly expand your iron complex as your game progresses. I'm up to 200 steel furnaces for iron plates + 100 for steel and I'm still missing two tiers of science. Plus I won't even think about producing express belts at this point...
Science is pretty weird now. I enjoy coming up with new designs for it and I do think research progression overall is much better balanced. However, the additional resource consumption and space requirement are just insane.
Is it even still possible to build tiny minimalistic factories that fit into your starting area?
Is it even remotely feasable to NOT use a main bus design anymore?
To me, it looks like designing a superfactory went from optional to the bare minimum in this update.
All science packs with space science are something like 250 iron and 200 copper and 250 petrolium.
And to be honest i don't mind making super factories but sometimes i just want to chill and not really care :)
I found an oil field with more than 1000% production (combined - as seen on the map) in the general vicinity of my starting area. 20 hours later it's still sitting above 1000% and 8 refineries have no chance of draining it any time soon.
The changes as written in the change log didn't sound like they would have such a dramatic effect. I mean, I need 400 steel furnaces working iron ore (how many drills is that?) but like 10 oil wells are already too much for such a base?
