This thread will compile known issues & workarounds in addition to other useful information.

Known Issues

• If you exit a game to the main menu, or complete a playthrough and then immediately start a new game it is possible that the game will crash, so please make sure you save before doing this.
  
• If the game crashes when starting a new game please try downloading the latest PhysX driver and reset your PC. (Download[www.nvidia.co.uk])
  
• If you're running Windows 10 then having both an Xbox controller and a different type of controller plugged in then this may prevent the game from starting, or starting a new game. So if you encounter this problem please try unplugging one controller.
  
• If you’re experiencing other issues, please try updating Windows, PhysX and Direct X and make sure your drivers are also up to date and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package is installed.
  
• If your controller is not working, then please try setting LegacyInput to 1 in the ini file.
  
• If you’re suffering from slow down and other performance issues then please try setting EnableDOF to 0 in the ini file.

Ini File Graphics Options
You can change the following graphics options in the ini file:

• EnableDOF 1=on, 0=off
  
• ShadowDetail 0=off, 1=norma:l, 2=hi-detail
  
• FOV Camera field of view in degrees, default 80
  
• You can add “Adapternumber” to the ini file. This sets whether you run the game on your primary or secondary monitor. This needs to be added to the [Graphics] section of the ini file.

Example:

Width=1280
Height=720
FullScreen=0
BorderlessWindow=0
LockWindowFrameRate=30.000000

I think instead of "Starting a new game" they may have meant "Launching the game".
Had the issue where it would not launch at all but then I downloaded the latest PhysX drivers and now it works just fine.

if you have the same issue there are two more way to run it
1.run as old OS.
or
2.go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and Change it there.
both way worked for me but the second Solution was better.

I am unable to start the game it as the game immediately crashes after it has been launched and before someone comes and says "try updating PhysX" I already have. I have tested multiple older versions as well as PhysX legacy nothing seems to work. I have also tried running it in administrator mode, 640x480 resolution as well as every single compatibility mode.

Edit: Almost forgot, and yes I do have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package installed

If you still can make a refund go for it because it has tons of bugs you would be better with the emulator version, the PC version is not worth the struggle
