It makes no sense to 'throw' a laser katana to lose a massive chunk of durability... Just switch them to the same alt-fire as blunt weapons, or maybe give them a new attack (maybe spinning attack?).
The same with spears, you actually don't wanna throw certain spears, and they don't stick on enemies or surfaces like throwing spikes/knives do.
For spears, alt-fire (if the weapon doesn't have a unique function) could be a heavy thrust attack that makes you dash forward 1 feet and thrust, inflicting knockback while trying to reach a target quickly.
For swords, you swing a wide sweep frontally that also knocks back targets, and can cause bleeding, or you 'spin' attack hitting around you in a 180 degree arc (hits even outside your camera at close angles).
I actually do not see anyone caring about 'throwing' their kitchen knives at enemies.
