Awhile ago some people where confused by how the small makeshift chests were turned on their side for seemingly no reason, because other people wanted to stack chests.
You can see in some people's posted screenshots of Small and Medium chests being stacked on top of each other.
(woops, misread, ignore the above
A snapping system would be great, though I wouldn't want an arbitrary grid system overlaid onto the map. I'd more want something that's dynamic where it can detect an edge and/or corner and slide or snap to that.
You can do this, but it's very iffy because your scientist has to have the right height and be aiming at the proper spot to get the chests to line up. A way to snap them on top of each other or the sides of the shelves would make life easier.
Rest of my post still works at least.
Grid snapping / object-to-object snapping toggle idea. Been having too many issues where I had to make tiny movements to align batteries, farms, among other items (though not super important, it does feel like it's triggering my OCD to make sure everything's aligned neatly).
