"stasis chamber" storage

so i've got an idea for a mid/late game update: Miniature Stasis Chamber

it'd essentially be an upgrade to the fridge, which would require one to build. it provides 100% radiation shielding, and would "completely freeze" the decay on ALL items rather than slowing

the downsides to it would be needing more power, slightly bulkier profile(sorta thinking like it'd be the fridge placed on it's side, but 1.5 as tall), 5 times as heavy, and it wouldn't actually "cool down" items(if that's actually an important thing?)
