A few suggestions for leveling skills
So, I finished the current content today and while doing so I took a few notes on the various skills and how they leveled over the experience and thought of a few minor gripes I had with a select few for leveling them up and maybe some ideas to smoothen their leveling experience a bit more as well as some minor gripes here and there

Strenght: Overall my only minor gripe I have with strenght leveling is that it's very tedious since you only gain experience while over a certain weight threshold for what you carry. Leading to me sometimes just doing laps through the office sector with an inventory full of furniture. I think maybe being able to build some sort of lil training facility would be nice. Like we find weights in the gym in the offices, why not let us create something with them once we reach say manufacturing and getting steel cables as a material. Specially with a lil minigame to boot that increases your strenght gain depending on how well we do.

Blunt and Sharp Melee: Nothing too much here but something I'd like is be a bit more clear how the skill affects the melee damage of a weapon since both skills state they increase the damage of their respective weapon types but it's never really clear by how much. Would be nice if the weapon tooltips were a bit more clear about that

Fortitude: Kinda has the same issue I have with strenght were leveling feels a bit more of a chore than something that just passively happens since the actual XP gain from getting hit is pretty minimal. Tho I suspect by the time we have all sectors it looks different and feels smoother but right now it's just really damn slow

Cooking: Probably the main reason I made this thread but cooking is insanely slow to level while low key mocking me with that elusive level 10 unlock for the oven but then checking the XP requirements and I see I'm not even halfway there due to exponential XP needs for any subsequent level. And at least playing by myself I never needed to cook that much due to how good soups are so I literally have to butcher dozens of pests, peccaries and exors just to cook their meat for a measily 50 XP per cooked item meaning I'd have to cook another 165 items just to reach level 10. I feel like maybe also giving cooking XP for butchering creatures (And maybe moving the level 5 sharp melee perk to cooking as well) would make the overall experience of leveling it a lot better since you'd just passively get a bit better at it. Either that or maybe provide more XP depending on the actual item cooked so say a raw pest that cooks really fast gives 25 XP while something like say the alien drumstick gives 200 XP just by itself. Just to make hunting for more exotic food items also more worth it

Otherwise I think the other skills are actually pretty fine, tho maybe being able to craft some other sharp melee weapons ment for throwing would be nice since I didn't really utilize that perk that much during my playthrough cause throwing my spear never felt worth it.

Throwing is also terrible, considering throwing weapons are worthless until later, and sneaking is mostly like, sipping bland pea soup and finding a security robot to follow around 50 times

Throwing needs some kind of weapon that's reusable and light to use with it like the crossbow was with Aiming/Reloading. Like, how about just a plain, old piece of rubble basically? There's tons of rubble around the entirety of GATE, you throw a rock basically and it can do some damage if it hits an enemy OR you can use it as a noise to distract and enemy and get them to look away?
