Ability to "clip" unneeded support beams from bridge platforms.
So many times a ideal spot for your bridge also happens to have support beams penetrating one of your already built objects object, making a rather ugly and unnatural look to the area, as bridges only need 2 out of the 4 pillars to be considered valid, my suggestion is, hopefully, simple :

Allow us to shorten / cut off support beams for bridges as long as the amount of beams hitting the ground does not go below 2. This means if all 4 beams are in action, you can remove 2 of any order and it will still remain.

Maybe allow attachment points for bridges and other future platforms, so you can create mounting points and mount bridges from there.

Maybe making ropes and suspending bridges from ceiling?
Steel cables becomes handy for that.
Of course once a bridge is put up we need something to prevent object from being packaged easily, so people don't mistakenly removed stuff or grief it.

Maybe making it so packing can be only done with a screwdriver equipped and held?

Most placeable furniture and objects already require a screwdriver or it's upgrades to package, if people are griefing then you just ban em.

I do like the idea of cabled bridges that support from the top rather than bottom, that would be an amazing addition.

I remember bridging over gaps in the vents in Office Sector Level 3, and it looked so silly to have 9 foot tall thick bridge beams for a 2-3 foot tall vent. Would have been easier to just secure it from the top, and less prone to critters from attacking its feet.

Though I don't think hostile things minded the legs, so mechanically at might be fine. Still, would be nice if it either pick the shortest of either option, or you had a way to swap it. Having a second bridge type for hanging supports would feel awkward, and I wouldn't want to have that.

Well enemies will attack nearby structures if they think it's in the way.
