Eventually we just would aggro him and sprint right back to the laser before hand, or hide in one of the storage rooms and shut the door so he'd be focused on whoever upset him.
Farming the night essence is also kind of a drag since shining the X-ray on him only seems to drop it once every minute or so? It doesn't feel clear when we should expect it. Some better visual indicator of when he's spent on those would be nice, like his tendrils burning in the X-ray and then growing back when ready or some such.
The other world was interesting to look at, but it was just so bland otherwise.
Or 059 shows up in the Nightrealm to chase you. That'd make the lore bits a bit tedious to get though...
It's actually one of the safest areas in the whole game. I never even saw a Leyak in there. Even once.
While I was working through the security zone I'd deliberately run at the reapers so they'd send me there. There's a power plug on the side of the computer console next to the inky water. I'd set down a charger plate, and recharge my night vision goggles and headlamps.
It reminds me a lot of the Scadulands in Shadow of the Erdtree dlc for Elden Ring.
Despite that being "Shadow"land, it was very bright there.
I think "Night" in this sense is simply referencing afterlife.
Yea I think they were doing a Dreamscape/Pan's Labyrinth/the Cell, Erdtree was too recent for it to be anything but a coincidence I think.
Guessing he means the "Personal Teleporter" that you use to return to whatever bench you sync'd.
