This is feedback about normal difficulty, default settings first-time progression through reactors. It is very easy to get completely stalled out due to not enough arcane scrap and be forced to wait for respawns. Waiting for respawns being the actual problem.
Transuranic Superalloy seemed like an easy way to fix this, while also making the post-game grind of slaughtering gatekeepers a bit less... grindy.
Alternative suggestions:
- Make gatekeepers drop more arcane scrap, even a 25% chance to drop 2 would add up
- Make boxes drop 2 arcane scrap. This would be a one time solution that would help initially with clearing reactors, but not change the post-reactor grind.
If you have, then yeah, I support having a little extra scrap in the boxes for the sake of not halting progression behind grinding
Otherwise, get scrapping! It might just be enough to push your needs over so you don't have to redo fights
That aside, I actually agree with reducing the arcane scrap cost to 3(but not 2), because it is the only component I could actually see bottlenecking a less knowledgeable/optimised player who wants to progress and doesn't know all the tricks to its efficient acquisition. It would allow a such a player to be a bit less restricted in their early superalloy usage, while still having enough cost that you can't just recklessly craft a million of the things later.
