Laser Collector nerf and other weapon problems
Ok, I'm going to preface this with saying yes I'm probably going to whine ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan a little. So please bare with me.

Laser collectors are too costly to put into harms way before a battle starts, Let alone having to drop one build it recharge and then pack it back up. That's is just asking to die and lose resources along with it.

With the laser collector nerf the deatomizer has become almost unusable. With the numbers that I ran you can kill about 2 witches without having to recharge (depends on how accurate you are). The witches are pretty easy to kill, but when you get to the Jotuns it can pretty much deplete an entire collector. The only way I can see fixing this is to make it so the deatomizer has ammo and those cubes from the collector would be (for the lack of better words) its magazines.

What other options for weapons do we have?

1. Skink gun
I found this adorable little guy to be pretty useful, but at the cost of a few draw backs. The first being the globs getting stuck on a surface and blocking all other shots. I don't know if this is just a me thing or if it happens to everyone, but it gets stuck on pretty much anything. Often times things it didn't come close to hitting. I think the hit boxes might be a little off. Second when you are out of ammo you need to reload with radioactive waste. Only problem is if you're no where near a source your pretty screwed. Solution make it so we can carry a bucket, a canteen or some other kind of container we can fill it up from, but hey with those 2 laser collectors I don't have to carry around anymore I can just carry a barrel of radioactive waste on my back.

2. Rocket launcher
Dam this thing does a crap ton of damage, but at what cost? Detcord and lots of it. This thing costs way to much for the output that you may or may not be getting (don't miss).

3. Traditional Guns
As an American there's nothing I like more then guns and lots of them, but with each patch they don't seem to be keeping up very well. Not to mention you have to use up an armor slot (that has crappy armor value) to be able to use them. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DEVS! Make the bio mimetic armor go into the watch slot instead. That seems like a good place for it.

4. Bows
Meh? The magbow is good for openers, but not reliable mid combat.(Thank you devs for making rebar more plentiful.) Lodestone bow not bad for what it is just feels a little underwhelming (need to do more experimenting now that lodestone bolts are easier to make).

5. Laser pistol
10 damage. Not much else to say. We shall see when we get the upgraded version.

6. Grenades
Actually not a bad choice now that we have skinks (little poop machine). Mugnades are cheap and easy to make. Do decent damage. No real complaints. The cluster grenade though. Detcord lots of detcord. Laser grenades its not bad for opener or mid fight just can't be reused without recharging. Again we go back to the laser collector problem. [REDACTED] Grenade haven't played with it yet. Sounds fun though.

7. Melee
I'm only going to use the 3 most recent ones. Laser Katana see laser collection problem. Quill spear is nice but it can't be fired while using a shield making its secondary less useful, still has decent damage. Exor mace is not to bad. The bleed effect is always nice to have, but you can't power attack while using a shield (which is where maces shine). Mainly just make them more compatible with shields. The only thing the really hinders melee at this point is the new enemies that counter melee pretty hard. Witches agile(I think they got the prenerf jetpacks) and shot guns making it tricky to deal with. Mystagogue and chieftains both have a grab. The chieftains isn't nearly as bad as the Mystagogue, but it can grab you midway through the animation (not sure if this is a bug). Jotun and corrupted robots both have a heavy repeating attack the shreds shields.

While writing this I noticed that a lot of the weapons problems is ammo and reload based. The other seems to be cost of use. Lock these problems down and a big chunk of them problems should be dealt with.

As for the laser pistol, although it does 10 damage, its beam hits several times

The laser pistol hits 4-5 times so it is more like 40 - 50 damage
