X-ray not working(
The X-ray lamp does not work. I use LMB, RMB, but instead just the flashlight always turns on

What settings should be made for the x-ray lamp to work properly?
Anything higher than Low Shadows seems to add back in the light's shape.

As for the function, the graphics settings shouldn't affect that at all. It is just a 'slightly spicy' flashlight.

Are you sure it is the flashlight? Because ironically enough the X-Ray Lamp does function as a flashlight. You can tell which is which since the flashlights have a single light cone while the X-Ray Lamp has 4, making a 4 leaf clover light pattern.

depends on settings.... was trying to fix a frame drop related to fire in one of the reactors and... forget what setting changed it but my xray looks like a single cone now...

I see! I think I might know what that is!

When toying around with Shadow settings, I noticed when I removed shadows the Antelights went from a moving wavy light to a shockingly bright solid color. I imagine the X-Ray Lamp uses some sort of shadow filter to fake the intended look a 2x2 array of lights.

So that means that the X-Ray lamp still very much works, but it would be harder to tell if it is the X-Ray Lamp or your Headlamp (if wearing it) working. If you aren't wearing a Headlamp, then you only have one light source to turn on.

Edit: Did some in-game testing, and this was in fact the case. I set it to Low (lowest setting) and it transformed the X-Ray Lamps light appearance.

As for frame drops, I've never had much luck with most of the graphics settings. Frame drops either happen because of loading in an area, or too many things like creatures or decals (like blood all over the ground) or just plan objects in my base being processed.

What helped me the most was that after finding a stable setting that looked good, was to Resolution Scale to 75% and FPS cap it below the new frame drop level and be done with it. The game isn't Counter Strike, or Call of Duty, or some other twitch reflex game where 120 to 480 FPS might 'help', so I'm fine with the more 'old school' FPS rates in a game like this.
