📺📻 TVs and Radios as media players

TVs as of now are a nice addition to decorate our bases, but often we just leave it turned off because the constant 10-second-or-so loops of the single channel they have to air. They make good collectibles but thats it.
However those TVs have also some big potential to make great elements in basebuilding and other fun shenanigans, specially when playing with friends:

Taking inspiration from other Unreal Engine games like Voices of the Void or Tower Unite, what if those TVs had more than one channel, dedicated to play user media, either from local files and/or from websites like Youtube or a site with cloud service like Google Drive or Discord.

Instead of a simple ON/OFF switch, pressing the use key would make a loop of switch channels, OFF > GATE Channel > Media Player > OFF, giving each individual tv a new feature without losing their collectible potential.
Of course, for public lobbies to avoid potential trolling, or simply for those uninterested in hearing what others want to play but without disregarding this feature, this could also come with a toggle tick option in Gameplay Settings, in that way you can disable all user media in two clicks.

Another minor suggestions regarding this topic would be:

• Addition of radios filling the same purpose of TVs but with audio only, and in addition to hear or communicate with other players wearing walkie-talkies and in near proximity of another radio. There could be different models like the military ones you find in Order camps, a normal one, a boombox etc.
  
• Crafteable/Makeshift TVs and Radios.
  
• More models for TVs. That home cinema in a certain Anteverse looks very lootable.

I'd love to have this in the game. The TV that plays a music loop has been a stable of all of my main bases and being able to customize it would be awesome, especially since the Leyak can make it hard to add external background noice throughout some portions of the game.

In the same vein, customizable posters and paintings would be cool, even if they'd be a little more immersion breaking than custom TVs even.

I thought of that too and I'd love it! But unlike audio/video if a player doesn't want to see whatever is in the picture with a toggle it would rend the item completely useless, unless they put like a randomised generic painting.

Having generic randomised pictures for people who disable it would be a good solution, considering there are already a variety of both posters and paintings in the game.

I would love this tbh . It made voices of the void much less lonely feeling . And made sitting in my base feel more comfy and immersive .

Sounds like not only an awesome idea but a pretty do-able one! I'd love for them to do the same with pictures. Make a frame or take one from the world and put your own Jpegs in it.
