The intention of the transmog bench is that you're meant to be able to change your look to how you want to look. The problem here is that there is virtually no reason to stop wearing the game's full-body suits, and you can't disable their display at the transmog bench.
So, at the end of the day, most people are going to be stuck with whatever they want to swap their full suit to.
While the balance of full-body suits is a topic for another thread, I feel that we ought to either get the choice to hide full suits, or some balance reason to not wear them all the time. As it is, just getting a little more thirsty than usual is a non-concern - maybe even more useful than harmful, honestly, since I'm running out of room for soda cans.
Fully agreed - preferably, both. Hoping that the inability to hide suits/backpacks is just a technical thing that could be fixed in future, but I also think the downsides of suits don't do nearly enough to offset their benefits. I spent most of the game in a hazmat suit and barely noticed after a while. Ideally, their downsides would be onerous enough that you'd want to take them off when you don't actively need them.
