Shortage of Knifes
Why are knives so difficult to find? It seems liek they never respawn and if u lose one or recycle it, its gg. Can this please be addressed?

there are knifes in flathill that respawn every reset.....
and what did you do with the mass of knifes you find?

You can make a shiv, which cuts up enemies like a knife, if you're desperate.

Given the fact there's a throwing skill, I actually think running low on knives is probably one of the less surprising things that could happen.

I dunno, right now throwing is just in a bad spot overall. Only really useful for throwing grenades. First playthrough had me try throwing knives a few times before I gave up on the skill entirely.

better question why only flathill? its so necessary to the game yet i cant seem to find any?
and i did not find a mass of knives in early game. maybe like 3 knives in total. i think i recycled one or two because i thought they would respawn

So, with blunt objects you can wind up with a right click and WHACK someone real hard from stealth. Good attack upgrade right?

I did that for the first time while farming hearts for portal tech stuff, in that void world. My sword cane, which I was also using to butcher stuff, went over the edge. Only figured it out when I re-tested the skill at home. Sure glad those only require an annoying trip to the furniture store. *grumble*

No, there's definitely more knives around the office. There's at least two in the starting cafeteria kitchen alone, and there's 3 levels of office to walk through.

office also includes the cafeteria there are i believe 3 knifes at the start in the cafeteria kitchen then 1 in the kitchen in the cubicle area and 1 in the kitchen room on the 3 floor and i think some are in the area before going to flathill ofc there are i think 2-3 not sure knifes in flathill

Flathill's knives seem to be on it's random loot-table. I don't know of any offhand that are 100% but they're often there. At least two kitchen areas, one can be reached very quickly if the locked shortcut is opened.

I have avoided throwing my swords after the first time (just not worth it for when I am in the game) but given that the NPC is supposed to bleed out or the knife should be recoverable from the wall/corner it's stuck in, carefully placed shots shouldn't consume TOO many thrown weapons. There might also be a knife or two in Rise (wasn't looking) and future areas.

PS: You do know they can be repaired with metal scrap?

I think we just need more knives/tools for butchering. So like in flathills we could find a cleaver that would butcher corpses faster and Cascade Laboratories we could find a Gigli saw, which is a flexible wire saw used for cutting bone (this item require charged).
