What is the point of makeshift screwdriver/flashlight

I wonder what is the point in those two tools. You get access to an actual flashlight and screwdriver very early on and both are indestructible. On top of that there is plenty of both lying around (I found 4 flashlights and 10+ screwdrivers so far).

They seem to just be fail-safes for multiplayer. Have a new friend jumping in but you've scrapped all the spare tools? Quick and easy craft to fix that.
