We NEED a good renewable source of water

I've used 15 cooler entirely only for gardening and I continue to bring more, but seeing how little they last and that 3 new I've recently got are already empty frustrates me. And there is no way to get a good amount of clear water quick. Sinks are too slow and have too little amount, purifying also requires lots of time to get decent amount even with a few stoves purifying at the same time and bringing new coolers to your base is only a temporary solution.

I suggest to AT LEAST to increase ratio for purifying tainted water into clean from 4:1 to 4:3, may be even 1:1. 250ml of clear water from 1000ml tainted is just too little, especially when purifying process takes a decent amount of time. Like we already have a lot of water in coolers and enough renewable water for it to not be a problem, but game punishes you for exploring it's aspects that requires a big amount of water (gardening) too much.

Progress a bit and you'll get something that can purify 1:1 instantly, makes water a complete non-issue.

get the recipe for the water filter and just set it down by the pool. use a bucket to fill it with the infinite tainted water. then pick it up and move it to your base. its over 1000ml of water. water coolers are for early game.

To be fair it use to be u could boil water 1:1 but that then makes the water mechanic pretty pointless.

The Water filter is WAY later in the game. In the Office sector there is a locked area by a server farm labeled wildlife zone. the mats in that area have the recipe.

This sounds awesome, but could you be more specific please. I'm level 9 gardening, already been to the furniture store in Cascade Labs, but still haven't gotten it. I only have level 3 cooking though, maybe the recipe is blocked there.

Specifically, for the filter, you need refined carbon and a barrel to unlock the recipe. Barrels can be found all over manufacturing.

Tbh, tainted water should work with gardening. As long as it's not chemically contaminated water, that is.

Package and loot barrel (you can find at least few in Manufacturing). I was not aware about water filter because I haven't packaged barrel.

Scientifically speaking, dirty water is more suitable for watering plants than purified water. Plants can get nutrients from dirty water, while distilled water is just water. But by the way, in the later stage of the game, you can get a device that converts dirty water into purified water at a ratio of 1:1, so forget about it.

I think water as-is is fine, if anything it becomes way too easy lategame.

water purifier, simple as that.
i dont know how you play but
there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that you get out of water. and if that doesnt satisfies you, have 2 buckets with you, go to the pool, fountain or whatever, fill them up and throw the tainted water into the water purifier.

another hint aswell.
stay with your base in the main area of the game where all the trams connect etc.
why? because that area literarly acts like a hub from where you then can go to everywhere via the tram system. ya just gotta unlock them.
with other words, you dont need to leave the starter area with your base. just build the bas next to the fountain. as soon you have the water purifier will you have NEVER AGAIN any water issues at all.
+ you can literarly just putt 2 stoves up and boiling the tainted water and filling the water coolers up. just bring a few water coolers to your base.

water is absolutely NO problem in this game.
