Makeshift Headlamp rebalance
This item should be MUCH earlier in the game. There's a lot of items that should be available much earlier, because they come in the form of "common early item duct-taped to something else", which is not exactly brain-bending inventions. I can see the makeshift headlamp being just a flashlight glued/taped into something, and then you can upgrade it by adding more flashlights and tape for greater battery life.

The military version, on the other hand, is very expensive, and it took me a long time to gather the broken parts needed to craft it- Maybe you need to kill enemies in a specific way at a specific time of day to get it to drop, which is never explained or so much as hinted at by the game to the players. That sounds about right... /s

Anyway, the militech version should have an indefinite or near indefinite charge time compared to the makeshift one being three flashlight's worth. Prior to having a headlamp, I just... Didn't go out exploring at night, since there wasn't really a need. You only get encouraged to do so to gather Wisps once you reach the second sector, which is when the good headlamp should become available.

I can't see it being added sooner, since you have to be in the second area to even get to the place where parts for it drop, but a good stopgap measure would be to place the Flashlight in the offhand in the shield slot.

I still explore during the night, and oddly enough, I use both the Headlamp and normal flashlight. Even though the headlamp should be an upgrade with its wider and brighter beam, the battery life is... not great. I use it as my backup and a convenience light rather than my main light source. That way when my normal light goes dead, I have something to help me get back home.

That said, given the cost, description, and expectations, it is a bit of a disappointment. Honestly duct taping a normal light to a helmet would be more effective. :steamfacepalm: If this smaller and brighter light is going to carve out a niche for itself, it should fit in places where it makes sense. Along with being a lighter helmet mount light (or not needing a helmet!), a small and powerful light would best fit on a hand gun or SMG, and the current makeshift hand gun light should have a debuff for being awkward to use; the price for getting the feature early. Given the size of the Scrapshot, I can see it using a normal light being fine mounted on that.
