Are we playing the same game? They defiantly don't do that if I don't move up an armor weight class when I put on a hazmat suit then it isn't enough. It doesn't even budge my bar.

I dunno, when I'm wearing Forge armor, I'm at 3/4, and when I put on my Rat Suit, I'm at 4/4 weight class.
I'd be fine with that just literally anything that makes me not wear the suit 24/7 vs when I need it
You're right though if the hazmat suit actually increased the weight class consistently like in your example then it would be a noticeable downside that would be more acceptable.
I don't know if I'm just lucky but in all my previous armor setups the suit never increased my weight class so I thought it was weightless to wear lmao
Like actually to the point where wearing it 24/7 was optimal because putting it in my inventory is heavier for my carry weight vs putting it on because it didn't seem to change my armor class weight
I'm not sure how best to balance it, at least not without ticking off the player base.
For example, realistically it should not be that durable. If burnt slashed, punctured, etc, by anything, it would unseal it and be rendered useless. Also those suits have either an air tank or filters, and possibly have a power source. Forcing players to manage those would not likely go well.
Just as well that they are they way they are. Gameplay wise it works, for now. I personally wouldn't mind a tweak to make it a bit more situational, but I'm at a loss as to how to do that.
