Edit: just to clarify, I do support the general idea of this concept, with no strong opinions on the specific execution.
Also, it is really hard to do good antimetetic stuff in a video game, since the player themselves cannot forget stuff, and the story There is No Antimemetics Division is written on such a high level that I don't think most casual gamers would expect that in a game like this.
There is IS-0017 the Amnesia Threshold which does erase some amount of memories. As to what in-game effects it will have, I'm not sure. If you want to know more, check out the wiki page about it. https://abioticfactor.wiki.gg/wiki/IS-0017 It even sources two of Deep Field's video shorts.
I unironically think IS-0017 is the most thematic way they could implement a respec option, even if it is just essentially remaking your character from scratch.
