how the hell do I fight the tarasque
i don't have enough soil to use more than 1 tripwire mine and no matter e=what I do it won't die, Ive tried using the electron bombs but it just detonated in my face killing me (I was looking into a pit it had jumped into so it didn't hit the ground) no matter what I do I just die over and over again. iit's just way too fast, way too tanky and deals way to much damage at this point in the game, I genuinely can't beat this thing

Traps, lots and lots of traps. If you as one person can't do the work, have other machines do it.

The tarasque is strong but the choppinator cannot be destroyed (to my knowledge) by it through hp damage alone...

how good are tesla coils? I saw that it's weak to electricity

If you shoot his chest tenticles, he will fall over occasionally and reveal some extra vulnerable spots on his back. Attack there for extra damage. Also, your ingame compendium reveals that he is weak to electric damage, so the electro-thrower will be your most reliable weapon during the fight. There are also some safe rooms in the arena for you to put a charging station into, since one charge for the thrower won't last you the full fight and recharging your healing briefcase will effectively give you infinite health. If you have trouble with fall damage from his shockwaves, equip the gravity cube trinket, it will dampen your falls.

Personally, I used a grinder with 2-3 stacks of ammo to draw his aggro and hit his chest tentacles for the stun and then used the electro thrower whenever he was vulnerable. I had to recharge my thrower two times during the fight, but it was a smooth experience for the most part. Just make sure not to kill him next to a wall, or you might lose his loot.

I didn't use them for the fight, but in general they're absolutely amazing. Just be careful with them if you use the carapace armor, it's set bonus will cause you to die instantly due to a bug if your own coils hit you.

I see. Despite the bug, switching over to carapace will be more than worth it, especially once you unlock the whole set. It has 60% more defense than the forge set and is significantly lighter, meaning even against bullents you won't really take more damage than currently and you will be able to move around much faster.

Bunches of tesla coils work well and can be used to win with a build that struggles to fight the boss normally. The Tarasque tends to jump on top of them if you make a line, but it's still in their range so they keep zapping. They attack it until it drops into its exposed weakpoint stage, then they stop until it gets up again, so you still have to do the real damage. If you have a number of them set up, it just drops over and over into the weakpoint stage, giving you all the time to poke/shoot the weakpoints with whatever you carry.

Have you seen how open the battle arena is? Are you sure you really want to use heavy armor that slows you down?

I simply use the Electric thrower to bring them to their knees, then I stab their weak spot with the shock spear, repeat until dead, just remember to have some healing items and decent armor with you

ALRIGHT I GOT IT, thank you guys, I used two tesla towers right in front of the partially closed door and would use the electric cannon thing when he fell over while also crouching to get the stealth attack bonus, took about 4-5 downs to get him and I lost one of the towers RIP

Tesla Coils and Disc turrets, I saw a streamer lure it to the half-opened blast door and he basically lured it to the door, flipped the switch to turn the traps on.

Tesla coils stunlocks the boss, while disc turrets are positioned behind the room so they hit the back of the boss. And this happens over and over again until the boss dies.

I did it by sitting behind the half closed blast door and poked it with a lightning spear for about 30 minutes. Great idea with the tesla coils! I can imagine that being much easier.
