maybe down the line we'll get a craftable or something like an item that will add all the recipes or something
Now if you are talking about soups, then that I can understand. While you can experiment and get close to things to get credit for learning it, other recipes might take a bit of leap of logic or are a bit involved.
I'm not talking about craftables I'm talking about cooking and recipes.

What could help is as you level up, you get blank/grayed out recipes in your log, and they slowly fill out as you cook other things.
* A crafting page just for food recipes (denoting between Crafted and Soups) instead of burying soups in the GATE PDA. It's annoying that I have one place I look for crafted foods and a special secret place just for soup recipes. Soups appear very mystical and strange to players, and some recipes are moonlogic at times. Simply being able to look up the soups in crafting tab would help a fair bit.
* As your cooking skill goes up (Also influenced by the cooking perk) you get a tiny but growing chance to get the idea for recipes using the ingredients you are either eating or using. I.E if you are a chef and cook/eat a bunch of Peccary Chops you will concoct the ideas for recipes using Chops. Keep the chance super low, as it's a mechanic mostly meant to fill out things you didn't think to try
It'd be like the experimenter perk from Skyrim alchemy basically, the more you have invested, the less experimentation you need to do
