I'm looking for directions to the control center. Now I'm in the furniture store and can't get any further. What am I doing wrong or what can I do?

In the furniture store you need to find 4 of these transformer things, they have a switch on them. They can be anywhere.
Once you get all 4 you can use the elevator in the central lobby.
