Throwing melee weapon

Hello everyone,
I have a slight skill issue with not knowing how to throw a melee weapon.
If you go to your "skills" and in the "sharp melee weapon" section, you can see you will have the skill set of throwing your melee weapon.
But, I have tried every key and mouse button and it doesn't work.

Please help your fellow scientist

Take a spear.

Press and hold alternative attack until fully wind up. click attack and the weapon gets thrown.

You need to holster your shield (check settings for the button, default should be H), charge the throw with right click and then release it with left click iirc.

Be aware that throwing knives and spears takes a big chunk out of their durability. Quite a bit too much imo.

Yeah, it's pretty pointless. At least throwing some regular items like rubber balls or anvils can be fun.

If you can kill everything by dropping an anvil on it then I'm definitely doing that
