How do you resist heat?

I played through the mushroom world back before temperatures were made punishing but went back now to grab some materials. I haven't seen anything in my crafting list that would allow me to resist heat and I don't think that place is survivable without resistance? How are people supposed to handle that place now?

At the FORGE you can trade an air compressor for a heat proof suit. The icon looks like a rad suit, but it's actually for heat.

I'm not sure if you already have it, but there's a heat hazard suit you can find in the world that helps you deal with it. It looks like a hazmat suit, but it's not quite the same

I thought weathered trait would prevent it as it still states in game, but it doesn't. Have to wear the fire suit.

Fire proximity suit like Shmooz said or root bear float (root bear soda + ice cream) or both

FORGE set also gives you +1 heat resistance per item (except leg wraps)

It gives you resistance to mild differences, not the equivalent of jumping into an oven.

Eating ice cream gives you some resistance to heat as well, but not much.

Well what you could do is to get like 8 can's of soda and 8 food things only have small hunger fill, like potatoes or tomatoes.
You don't lose health due to the heat, you only vomit your thirst and hunger out.
Once you hit 0, you have like 60 seconds to refill those.
So with those 8 food things, you got like 8 minutes to move in the mushroom world.

Bring a teleporter and soups that recovers hunger and thirst to reset the timer. You get 60 seconds basically but vomiting slowly drains the gauges so it's longer than that.

You can literally bring 3-4 soup bowls, which is 6 to 8 uses in total.
