Is IS-0059 supposed to DO something? (Security Sector spoilers)

I've played through the Security sector twice, first in multiplayer, second in a solo save. Both times I went through it, the Reaper simply...picks me up, stares at me, and puts me right back down.

After passing the sector, I read on the wiki that the grab is supposed to warp you to the Night Realm? The first time, I just presumed it was just a glitch that comes with multiplayer, but it happened AGAIN in my solo save.

Is this just a bug that hasn't been patched yet, or a silent change no one's talked about yet?

You can travel thru and eventually find the actual portal.

Bug that hasn't been patched yet. Sometimes the grab also instantly kills you via gravity for some reason

In my case he just kills me despite me just trying to hide. So now it is just Benny Hill run, cause this boy is slow as hell. I believe portal appears near consoles that you need to unblock.

I think he's supposed to put you in the night realm but doesn't.
Also he will attack you instead if you shine the x-ray lamp on him.

Is it possible you used an XRAY on it, as it will usually only go lethal mode when that happens.

Forgot to mention this in the initial post: No. It wasn't warping me anywhere in either save. In both saves, the X-Ray lamp wasn't even built yet, so no possible X-Rays to aggro it. We didn't have Energy Pistols too, it first happened BEFORE we entered the first Night Realm portal.

I'd like to see the sudden switch of the position (instead of being teleported into the Night Realm) that the Hunter killed the Player, and got instantly replaced by a copy from another Dimension which was very close to the one the Player was in.

The disorientation is just a minor teleport slipup as the 'original' got replaced by the 'copy', or even re-replaced by another copy, and the shift in memory adapting to the dimensional jump is what causes it.

And that is far more terrifying for me than just getting randomly janked into the Night Realm.
