Impact Hammer has an oddly short reach

Having used many of the heavy melee weapons (Canaan Woodsman Axe my beloved) I find it very strange that the Impact Hammer has a short reach compared to the others. Anyone else notice this, or just me?

Is this intentional, like a counterbalance to it having a power attack or something?
Or is this unintended?

I wish I could say, but I agree that the reach on it feels way shorter than what the weapons would suggest; on top of the fact that neat misses are kind of hilarious. You miss hitting with a power attack by a few inches, but the down swing doesn't register, on top of the fact that the hapless targets doesn't notice this huge hammer head swooshing by their ear.

I thought it felt odd when I was using it to level blunt. I kept trying to sneak attack cananites and whiffing
