You're not the only one. They are really strong and teleport around like mad. It takes almost a full deatomizer charge to kill a single spear exor. Which doesn't make much sense, they're not that different from the basic exors that are far weaker. They don't have sophisticated armor, they haven't evolved into hulking monsters, they just have a spear...
The biggest issue I feel is their seemingly unstoppable charges, unless I'm missing something, sometimes they just run at you with their spear and you can either lose all of your stamina on your shield or try to jump away. Also their rapid teleportation is awful, I've had one teleport behind me and immediately stab me multiple times
Try to use the laser minigun, amp its damage with alt-fire, and then blast its head. Drops it real quick.
I'm playing singleplayer and the new exors legitimately are killing the game for me. The moment they start teleporting all over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ place, that's it. Pretty much dead at that point.

The deatomizer is great and all, but it runs out of ammo so damned quickly, it's only good for one or two exors unless they're kind enough to sit still for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ second.

One could argue this is what the slushies are for, or the electric pads, but to hell with those slushies with the way you have to farm 1-3 at a time. placing and picking up the electric pads just to have a fighting chance is also tedious as all hell, especially with how these guys are absolutely everywhere in the new zones.
the best stat i have is to hold up my shield and only lower it for a split second hit with my spear while being/walking backwards out of their spears range before retreating behind my shield. I only lose 1/4 of my health with the mountaineering set and have to repair my breastplate because it gets totally shredded, but this way works
I reached accuracy 11 solely by trying to kill a single acid robot with laser pistol.
How much HP do they have along with exors.

3~4 shots to the head with the magbow will kill one, which is good if you have good accuracy and can get hip-fire shots down well enough. it stuns every hit.

otherwise.. slushie grenades. they aren't immune to being frozen and slushie grenades are 1$+a little tech scrap to make 3, they explode on contact, requires no throwing skills, and it's like a 6 second freeze stun. you can carry them in stacks of 10. it takes two slushie grenades to poke one to death, and I presume you could mix slushie grenades with actual grenades to kill them quickly too. honestly, you can overcome just about every single encounter in the entire game with slushie grenades. even robots.

they are weakest when fought out in the open, as their charges can be easily back-pedalled or sprinted away from, and their laser beam attack does much less damage and can be strafed. a magnum if you have +10 accuracy technically also works, or either of the +15 accuracy firearms. shotgun is okay ish but it's ideal to hit them during their slow beam attack. and since they teleport around, you can easily bring them to open ground or hit them from far away to get them to teleport to you.

the only wrong answer is going toe-to-doe with them and hoping you don't get hit. they're absolutely menacing in pairs. I *suspect* the shield you can craft that stuns on hit could be okay, but they also rip apart shield durability ultra fast if the stunning shield doesn't work. you could probably face-tank them in the heaviest armour available at the time, 28 armour mountaineer x3 and whatever hat you can get, but you'll probably bleed like heck. blunt weapons also seem to be not amazing, even the new blunt 1h weapon feels really bad despite inflicting bleeds.

Laser sword also helps with hitting them while kiting, but it is slow and you might have to drag with you a full battery. But there's no reason not to go all-out against them.

I just backpedal and throw Acid Quill Darts at them to level up throwing. They're tanky AF, but the darts can stagger them a bit.

The new Robots are even tankier which is obnoxious AF.
