Let's hope so, although I suspect that won't happen due to the devs' hatred of guns.
Maybe, but you find plenty of dead GATE security officers and they don't have anything better than a security pistol. This is even considering the fact that the Gatekeepers left the security officers to fight the Order at the dam while they pushed through to reactors and none of them have anything better either.
That one is actually excusable because if he had a fancy gun then the Order likely stole it before you got there.
If you have actually tried to use guns you'd discover just how miserable it is to use them. The devs have made it very clear that they want you to use the science weapons over the overworld guns, and that is why you not only have to deal with scarce ammo but also using the biometric/bio-mimic armbands to bypass the security on guns.
But even the science ranged weapons that use ammo mostly suck as the ammo for most things is very expensive to the point it's often not worth using them.
And despite all these problems, guns are often getting nerfs. During the Canaan update people were complaining that the shotgun was nerfed when that wasn't really necessary due to how much of a hassle it was to use.
Don't get me wrong, there ARE a lot of problems with them, some of which you have listed.
But saying 'the devs hate overworld guns' is quite frankly ridiculous.
Maybe I was being hyperbolic, but you get my point and you're getting worked up over literally nothing. You admit that I am right and guns have serious problems in their use.
Yes, they're not as awful as on launch day since you have repair kits and they no longer break down in a couple magazines, but that doesn't mean they aren't still bad.
