Abe and Janet in ...?
The patch notes mentioned Abe and Janet being in mist reactor but I cannot for the life of me find them. Does it matter that I've already cleared Mist reactor? is there some pocket where there's no excess heat that I dont know about? is the patch note a typo?

They are somewhere close to the room with the button it's a big vertical room and they are standing on a mushroom.

I don't know if they are still there when you finished the content, but they are definitely there after finishing mist reactor.

Scratch that. You need to go to the reactor room the one you enter through the half circle door. like the trains. Then up to the left where the robot is. In the next room on a mushroom.

And there are there after mist, but not after you finished the sector.

really hard to miss.

they are right next room if you come trough the portal shortcut from the start of reactors which brings you right to the mist reactor.

What he said is valid, they stuck around long enough for me to chat with them, but they do seem to vanish at some point.

what you see above was taken AFTER i finished entire reactors content includeing talking to hasta and going back out. the to be continued kinda gives this away but still makeing extra sure you get it.

i exhausted thier dialoge aswell on first visit there. they stick around once youre done with reactors. just like they stuck around after you finished hydroplant.

go there once you finish the reactors content and have spoken to hasta. they are still there.

they do not disappear.

They do, they just haven't disappeared for you yet, they disappeared a while after I completed the story content.

It is okay to be wrong, you do not have to double down.
I checked myself and they're gone in my game too. I totally missed them. Anyone know if they unlock any new compendium entries?

my dude. i finished reactors content over 30 REALTIME hours ago ingame. how long do you think they stick around ingame ? 5 weeks? a whole month? that makes no sense at all. if your claim was true they should have disappeared a long time ago.

Supposedly there is a bug that causes disappearing NPCs, but I don't know much about it. Just other people mentioning it.

Yes, I've also had a lot of hours in-game past chatting with our favourite inquisitor, and I would be lying if I said I knew an exact figure, but you were saying they don't disappear, which I demonstrated isn't correct with that screenshot I sent(unless steam's being very obnoxious and not allowing you to see it).

You were saying another person wasn't telling the truth, so I was defending their statement, because I had the same thing happen with our favourite dynamic duo, would you appreciate being called a liar if you were telling the truth?

I merely said you were wrong in that they don't disappear, not that you were lying.

EDIT: Changed a word used(true->correct), it occurred to me that my intent could be misunderstood, I don't want to accidentally insinuate things I'm not intending to.

a bug is way more likely in that case i would say. it makes no sense for npcs to stick around for so long before disappearing. that could be a bad side effect of all the hotfixes going on.

Probably, hard to say really, unless the devs themselves comment on if it's intentional. I do personally wish they stuck around, because I do think them sticking around in the spots they do between updates is a charming little thing, maybe I just got too used to them hanging out at the submarine in the Crush Depth era.

We actually don't have any active (credible) reports about that.

Most the characters in the game have a point where they show up or leave from certain spots. The likeliest scenario here is that the player who finished everything but can still see them is missing a very specific world state flag that wasn't triggering properly during our initial release, but got hotfixed shortly after.

I think they can still trigger it if they walk around in the right spots now, but... They don't have to, I suppose.
Interesting, triggering a missing flag might actually check out in my case for the duo's disappearance, as it did happen within the last real life day or so. I finished Dark Energy about 8 days ago(Roughly sometime on February 6 around 4AM AEST), but recently in the last couple days, I'd been messing around everywhere in Reactors area and beyond, farming and setting up teleporter network nodes, plenty of leeway to hit that trigger.
