T4 hacker softlock?

I need to craft the T4 keypad hacker, and it needs a lodestone fragment. Looking up a playthrough I find that instead of the fragment it needs an LCD screen. I can't get the lodestone fragments from the rats. Am I just softlocked or is there a way to get those fragments early?

Get a night essence from the night realm or flash the reaper with an xray lamp to get night essence. Then after going through the first portal to the night realm, proceed directly to the right and you'll find a snag vine seed. Use these 2 items in the particle labs to power up a portal to canaan and just go through the world naturally. You'll eventually find the witches swamp where you'll get a piece of lodestone that you can scrap into fragments.

In the next update they will fix the problem of the laptop meant to guide you to Canaan being after the door you need to go to Caanan to open with.

In the meantime, you need a tangleroot seed and a night essence, then go back to labs to repair a portal where you may have first encountered breachers. It's near the room the labs bot puts you in if it grabs you.

Good to know it wasn't just me who was confused and lost as hell. In case you forgot where the flow control modules are, like I did, they are in PARTICLE LABS, next to Wildlife Pens, not one of the other areas in Containment or some such.

I was wondering why the recipe called for a lodestone fragment and yet there was no mention of it anywhere in the Security Sector.

This part needs something to point you to it for sure, had to do the same googling to remember the canaan portal location.

There is an email terminal AFTER the T4 door that makes a reference to the Canaan portal, seems like they made a mistake with the placement.

I remember when I pushed into security, and got that first night essence: I was literally just staring at it like "I know I needed this for something"...

Thankfully, I was out hunting exor in the pens, and stumbled back across the canaan portal.

Now I've gone and committed genocide. The circle of life.
