Crystal powder loot drop.
I opened a portal in the wild life pens: and now the crystalisks won't drop powder. I've killed like 6 in a row, deliberately hunted them down, even restarted the game: all they drop is bioscrap now. I don't know if this is a bug or deliberate (to force me into the portal I just opened.) but I can't finish my armour now.

Which weapon are you using? Some like the deatomizers secondary will produce bio scrap only.

Electro-club and electro spear. One kill with the mag-crossbow.

So, it was just an epic run of bad luck. I just killed four in a row and 3 had crystal.

Yeah, as long as you get some crystal it seem to be working ok. They had a 100% chance once, than it got changed. Imo the drop rate is a bit too low, one could think their main drop is bio scrap :P

Honestly I'm not sure why they even drop bio scrap in the first place. Nothing about their anatomy seems "organic" in the slightest

I'm pretty sure it is to balance the electro grenade, as before you literally could make hundreds of them.

Frankly, I was surprised it even dropped, which is why I thought it might be a bug. I hadn't killed too many at that point: but I never noticed anything but crystal from them.

It appears to be deliberate and for balancing purposes. It's really annoying, though, so I wish they just dropped less, but guaranteed crystal powder on death.

I mean... other things drop multiple items: so why can't the bioscrap cause only 1 crystal to drop instead of the normal 4? So you would either get 4 crystal, or 1 bioscrap and 1 crystal.

Anything to be able to somewhat consistantly farm the powder tbh.
