why are vending machines RNG?

like i wouldn't mind if the RNG was just *spits bill out*, but the fact that there are recipes that require SPECIFIC stuff from the vending machines, getting 6 bags of chips and 2 skip cookies is kind of a kick in the ♥♥♥♥

Vending machines not outputting the correct item is an issue the devs are aware of, it's not intentional.

you`ll simply have to run around the map like a headless chicken for now. Maybe they`ll fix it in the security update like absolutely everything else that sucks right now

got a skip cookie that wasn`t displayed on the shelf when i was doing the kizz shaker™, tried buying a skip cookie that was displayed as an option but it wasn`t there

Yeah, I think the vending machine shake is just the equivalent of the machine dispensing something like usual but without having to pay, so its propensity to spit out random stuff in its superset of options is conserved

The machines are not RNG the buttons will give the same incorrect item each time, atleast for the food machine.

The buttons for the food machine seems to be inverted.
IE 1 seems to give option 5
2 is 4
3 is 3
4 is 2
5 is 1

I can confirm the above post is still true. If you want Jowlers for baking, hit the Farm Puffs button, and look for machines that think they have Farm Puffs in stock. The Farm Puffs button always dispenses the Jowlers.

If you get your Rootbear from the vending machines, hit the Fizz Bang button for that. The buttons for Rootbear and Fizz Bang are also inverted.
