Laser lab and Laser weapons

Now that we have laser weapons, has anyone tested shooting the target in laser lab with a weapon instead with the prisms?

Yeah the laser puzzle still is a bit... jank. Even stacking filing cabinets and putting a reflector on the side it still took me about 10 replacements before the laser would actually line up.

Using the laser rifle is so much easier, though it does take longer till you can access it. I don't know why you'd want to finish that puzzle before getting laser weapons, though I'm sure a more experienced player could come up with something.

Rise has some extra resources to hoover up every reset, and progressing to Furniture Store in Labs erased most of the breacher respawns, leaving one in a small server room by the turret reprogam and a couple in Rise. We wouldn't get any better shotgun ammo sources until Crush Depth.

Oh, and I nearly forgot, it's the only way to get the "Egg" (for now?).
