How to Reset the Dam Power System?

How are we supposed to reset the dam power system - the first objective given by Isaiah and Dr. Newman? We did the other 3 quests (mainframe, flow valves, transmitter) but the button near the NPCs doesn't work. "This button doesn't seem to work right now."

Are we supposed to fix it somehow? There are slots in the sides, but they seem merely decorative. Is it bugged? Or is there something else we do for the first objective, then push that particular button?

if you still have the "find the survivors" objective. use F to repeat the conversation with the girl, DO NOT leave the room. it should update, then you can press it. It is a known bug and should be fixed next patch.

There is a 4 screen display inhydroplant building (left side after the dam) That shows you what you are missing. If all 4 screens are green then you need to build something to counter the radiation at the transmitter. I think the scientist at the transmitter gives you the schematics.

Thanks. We did that. Both of us stood on top of them and ran through all the conversations, trying the button after each one. No love.

Just to be clear, the button next to those two NPCs is the first objective? Not the thing you do after all 4 objectives?

yes you do that first. then you hit up the rest, because it's the closest one anyway.
